 What a successful weekend in the mountains! We had such a fun time and met so many wonderful women. I thought we might have overpacked the beads and supplies for 70 women... Not even close. Thank heavens for your donations or we would have been toast, for sure. (Really, thank you so very much for all the wonderful donations and support, the ladies were in awe of your contributions!)
The jewelry made by this group was top-notch, I kid you not! These sweet ladies came into the craft with virtually no hesitation and went to town... project after project, some making 2, 3, 4- Some had to be led away from the beads! They took to jewelry-making so well they asked us back the next day...
and again the following day! It goes to show that making jewelry is therapeutic, relaxing, (addicting) and good for your soul. So just FYI, this was a test run, in 2010 we have some wonderful Charity events planned, and we hope to get you more involved with some of them too. More bead drives after the new year!
One more thing... last but not least, I want to thank my volunteers for the fantastic help they gave the beaders- and me! It would not have been possible without you ladies, quite literally- so Thankyou!

 We decided a while back that we needed a bit of a facelift, (and more name recognition) so we changed our name and logo. We decided to go with an old standby that should not be hard to pronounce... We now go by "The Bead Company" however we will still respond to Tudo Joia out of habbit! We are now using Tudo Joia exclusively for our custom jewelry as we expand into other retail and gallery locations. So no worries, our little shop around Four Corners is still plugging away, only now people know what we're sellin! Hopefully this clears things up a bit. |
